Twice Danny Kaye has come up in conversation in the past two days. It seems then, it just makes sense to have a small posting for a man who has brought me such joy. He is possibly my all time favorite entertainer and this is possilby my favortie dance number he ever performed on film. He was as smooth as silk and he had all the class, and that never goes out of style. Raising a glass for Mr. Kaye tonight.

Lord, that is a beautiful number! Two things leave me breathless: I can’t imagine walking, much less smiling and prancing, in a dress with a waist that constricting! And holy gods that skirt is perfect – those layers just twirl like anything 🙂
